When We Were Trekkies 1
On the third planet of an insignificant star, three high schoolers named Jonny, Harold and Tom
take comfort in watching reruns of their favorite sci-fi show. The thrilling, optimistic stories stand
in stark relief to the dull, grinding reality of their home town, and the asbestos factory that is its namesake.
Learning of a Star Trek convention in New York City, the boys join forces to crash the festivities, and compete in a costume contest. Can they overcome technical challenges, parental resistance, and hostile classmates to realize their dream?

When We Were Trekkies 2
After weeks of preparation, the five boys (including Frank and Dean) don their costumes and drive thru the freezing winter rain to the 3rd International Star Trek Convention. Arriving at the Americana Hotel late on Sunday evening, they find that registration is closed and their efforts may be for naught.
Cleverly, they gain entrance, only to discover a thousand kindred souls, new opportunities and a world of wonders. Dean gets schooled in convention etiquette and the boys win two of the top prizes — but it’s Harold who makes a significant connection with some female fans.

Coloring Book
This book is a love letter to all the masquerade manques and costume cohorts that made the hobby what it is today. All characters depicted in this book were actually spotted on the mouldering red and gold hotel carpets of the era (including the celebrities!) Only the groupings have been changed, to maximize the fun.
